Take That Donut Duck

So i was sat watching my daughter earlier. She was sat in her bouncer having a look around the room when suddenly it caught her eye, yes, the donut duck. She eyed it up for a while then casually looked away. That's when i got my phone out and managed to record the fight of the year- Calleigh Vs Donut Duck.

And here it is for you all to see!

I was so proud to see her actually reach out her arm, it was amazing to watch! My clever little girl!

And if that wasn't enough, later on that night she held her head up all by herself, although still a little wobbly.

Things are happening so fast now, i can't wait to see what happens next!

Likes and Dislikes of a 2 Month Old

While she is only 8 weeks old, little Calleigh has a number of things she likes and things she doesn't.

Likes:
1. Mee-Maw putting her glasses on her head always brings a smile to her face.
2. The song Back to Cali by Slash and Myles Kennedy, this is a sure fire way to send her to sleep.
3. The duck on her bouncer has her amazed whenever she can see it.
4. The ceiling at Mee-Maws house- she can't take her eyes off it.
5. Daddy's spot on the bed.

Dislikes:
1. The noise when someone scores 100 on pointless freaks her out.
2. Mummy blowing raspberries at her.
3. The donut shaped duck on her bouncer, think she must know ducks are not supposed to have a massive hole in.

4. Mummy trying to put socks on her feet.
5. Getting out of the bath.

A Few Things I've Learned

Here are a few things i've learned about my daughter.

Number 1: She doesn't like it when you blow a rasberry at her.

Number 2: Bedhead is a cool hairstyle.

Number 3: She's always watching you.

And finally a little something she learnt in the bath the other day: Never trust a fart.

In The Beginning

On the 28th November 2011 at 10:23am my first daughter was born via Cesarean section. She weighed 6lb 10oz and was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. We called her Calleigh Emma, a name we had decided on months before she arrived. We spent the next few hours in awe of our little princess, almost finding it hard to believe that she was actually real. It finally kicked in the first time she filled her nappy, and we realised that it was now our duty to clean her up.
I spent the next few days in hospital recovering but as soon as i was up and about i was discharged and eager to get my little princess home.

The days that followed were challenging and tiring as both me and daddy tried to adjust to the changes little Calleigh had brought in to our lives. Eventually we got into the swing of things and realised that she wasn't going to break in two every time we picked her up.

She's now 7 weeks and 5 days old and i have decided to start this blog to share all the special moments (as well as the not so special moments) with my family and friends.

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.
