A Fun Day At The Park!

With all this lovely weather we've been having it was time to take Calleigh to have some fun at the local park. But as me and Daddy have been busy all day attempting to fit a new sink, Mee-Maw and Auntie Lana kindly volunteered to take her.

I met them at the tea shop in the morning and had a lovely cup of tea with them before leaving my little princess to go off and have fun.

Whilst me and Daddy fought our way around the supermarket getting the weekly shop in, Calleigh was spinning circles on the roundabout.

Whilst me and Daddy melted away in the car on the way home, Calleigh was having a good swing.

Whilst me and Daddy were at home trying to figure out how to get the old sink out, Calleigh was sliding with Auntie Lana.

And finally whilst me and Daddy panicked wondering if water was going to gush out everywhere once we turned the water back on. Calleigh was sat down enjoying the sunshine with Mee-Maw, wondering what that green stuff was under her toes.

I must say, I much prefer Calleigh's day to mine.

Calleigh's Week

Calleigh has had a very busy week this last week. So I thought I'd take the time to share with you all some of the things she got up to.

On Monday we took Calleigh to get weighed, she now weighs in at 13lbs 15oz, nearly a whole stone!! We then did a bit of shopping down Derby. Got lots of little outfits for her and some for me too :-). We even brought her some things from Baker Baby, which she looks adorable in.

On Friday we went to see Great Nanna, who was more than pleased to see how well shes growing. And also how clever she is, she went straight for the money Great Nanna was holding, we taught her well.

Went shopping again today as I've been wanting to get her a new Play mat for a while. And after looking at many different ones, i decided on the one I wanted but didn't want to pay £57 for it, so it was just my luck that when we found it in Mothercare it was reduced to £30!! Got it set up as soon as we got home and Calleigh enjoyed a good half hour playing around with and eating it. Although judging from the look she gave me on the photo, I don't think was happy with me.

We then went out into the garden to watch Daddy mow the lawn. As it was quite sunny we had to put her little sun hat on. Living in England we don't get much chance to put on the sun hat, but she looks so cute in it I might just put it on more anyway.

And after a long day she was all too ready to have a nice long nap on Daddy. Sooo Cute!

Two Weeks Without Daddy

Last month Daddy had to go to America for 2 weeks for work, so Calleigh and I packed our bags and decided to crash at Mee-Maws.We soon took over the house with all Calleigh's things.

Calleigh was a very good girl for the whole two weeks, although I think she noticed that someone very important was missing everyday. We had lots of fun hanging out with Mee-Maw and Auntie Lana. Looking at books, playing games and bouncing around were just some of the fun activities.

I even caught Calleigh attempting to steal some of Auntie Lana's DVDs while she thought no-one was looking.

Mummy and Auntie Lana also had a lot of fun when we found out how crazy Calleigh's legs go when you lift her off the ground in her bouncer.

We spent the last night back at home so we would be ready for Daddy when he got back in the morning. As soon as Daddy walked through the door he was greeted with big smiles from his little girl he had missed so much!

We're hoping Daddy doesn't have to go away without us for long again, but at least we know that if he does, we will be OK.

Have I Got Something On My Face??

I can't believe Calleigh is now nearly 20 weeks old. Time really does fly by. She's becoming such a big girl now and she's got lots of character. It's finally got to that point where I can't take my eyes off her for 2 seconds without her getting up to something.

I decided to have a stab at weaning once she got to 17 weeks as I noticed she was showing me all the signs that she's ready. By that I mean trying to eat everything that comes within an inch of her mouth, lucky she hasn't got any teeth yet or she wouldn't have any fingers left. She also stares at me intensely whenever I'm eating which is slightly off putting.

It's been going really well, so far she's only tasted banana, carrot and potato but she seems to really enjoy them all. The first time I gave her a taste of banana, I only intended to give her a small amount but she couldn't get enough, she loved it. Then came the carrots, now this was a bit messier, but she also loved her carrots too. I can't wait to experiment with more flavours.

What you looking at?

Took Calleigh on another trip down to the seaside last weekend with my mum and sister. Had another really good time, even if the weather wasn't the best. Calleigh enjoyed a bit more bingo, gave lots of smiles to random strangers and helped Auntie Lana do a jigsaw. Amazingly she actually found two bits that go together, although before I sign her up to Harvard I think it was just a fluke.

No Lana! That bit doesn't go there!!

We also had a good game of Texas Hold 'Em. She's a proper card shark, the amount of full houses she had was incredible.

All In!

New Toys!!

We took Calleigh shopping yesterday to pick her up some new toys. I think she is starting to get a little bored just playing with Mummy and Daddy.
Went to Toys R' Us and we must have been in there for a good hour deciding which toys our little coo coo beans would like.
And here's what we ended up with...

We also got a great bargain on a beautiful pink travel cot on special offer. Was £110 now £39.99. Couldn't resist a bargain like that, especially as I'll be using it over the next two weeks round my mums.

Once we got home I opened the toys straight away and one by one passed them to Calleigh to see what she thought. Luckily she liked them all and had a bit of a play.
