STL Auto Show

For something different to do last week we took Calleigh to the STL Auto Show. It was really nice to walk around and see all the new cars and Calleigh enjoyed getting in them! There were so many cars from every car brand you could think of!
I'm not a big car fan but my dad and Paul do like their cars and Calleigh has fun pretty much anywhere so it was nice to take her out.
Afterwards we went to dinner at Olive Garden where Calleigh enjoyed a massive kids meal- she literally had more on her plate than I did!!
It's great to be able to do things indoors when the weather is cold.

An Unseasonably Warm Day

On Monday we had some more beautiful weather and we actually managed to spend some quality time playing out in the garden for the first time since we moved in.
Calleigh really enjoyed playing with all her outdoor toys that she hasn't seen since summer ended (which feels like ages ago, come back summer!)

I can't wait for the weather to get better so we can really make the most of the nice garden we have. I loved the decking at the other place but it really feels nice to have a level backyard and plenty of space for Calleigh to run about!

The Zoo.

This weekend we were so fortunate to have some really good unseasonably warm weather. So we decided to take an impromptu trip to the zoo so as not to waste such a beautiful day. I have been feeling really sick of winter just lately and actually feeling a bit down being stuck in the house so this was just what I needed and Calleigh too!

The good thing too was that it was not too hot for the animals so we got to see them a lot more too. Usually when we go in the heat of summer a lot of the animals are hiding in shaded spots or taking shelter from the heat, so it was really nice to see more of them enjoying the beautiful day too.

Calleigh made sure to pick up a zoo map which she loved looking at and telling us if we were going in the right direction.

It was lovely walking around, it was also interesting to see that the lakes were still frozen even with the sun shining bright and the warm temps.

Outfit of the Month: Jan 2015

Welcome to the first outfit post of the new year.
(Actually the first post of the year)
I know it's been a little while since I last blogged, actually I think Christmas may have been the last time. As I said we have been moving house so a lot of my time has gone to getting settled in our new home and also making sure Calleigh is settled. Apart from that I don't have any other excuse, I just haven't been feeling much like blogging. Maybe to do with the cold weather, I don't know.
But these past couple of days I've dusted off my camera and started taking some photo's again. We also had a really nice warm weekend so we managed to get out and take a trip to the zoo (more to come on that).

This month's outfit is just a simple blouse and jegging combo, with being inside a lot of the time we haven't really dressed up much. Nevertheless Calleigh still looks super cute!

Christmas Day 2014

Merry Christmas everyone!
We hope you have all had a wonderful time and enjoyed every last minute of the season! We certainly have had an amazing Christmas, although very different from what we are used to. Also having just moved house we were in a slight panic that we wouldn't get the place sorted by Christmas but we did! We spent a quiet Christmas eve in (after having to go out to return Calleigh's big present as it was smashed inside the box and they were completely out of stock everywhere! I was gutted) watching some TV and opening our Christmas Eve Baskets.

I have missed my family over Christmas especially today, but we still got to chat with them in the morning and they got to see Calleigh open some presents.

The morning didn't start out amazing though as both Calleigh and I have been battling a cough and cold for the past few days and it seemed that we were both pretty bad with out throats on Christmas morning. I was losing my voice and even though I could see Calleigh really trying to be excited she just didn't have the energy straight away nor was she in a particularly good mood after a bad night.

But once she had some toast and milk inside her she seemed to perk up a bit and eventually managed to open all her presents. She was so happy with all her presents so thank you to everyone that brought her a present.

We still have a lot left to do in our house, it's pretty hard to do things with Calleigh around, but we really have our fingers crossed to be settled by the new year! And then hopefully I can put my time back into the blog and doing my favourite thing of all- taking photos of Calleigh!

Anyway
Here are some photos of our Christmas!
