Happy Easter!

I hope everyone has enjoyed Easter!
We have had a great time, lot's of egg hunts and events around our local area. Calleigh got her Easter baskets this morning and she loved it!
Here are a few photos from the egg hunts and easter morning!

Easter.

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter.
We sure did!
Calleigh really enjoyed her Easter Egg Hunt in the morning (and having chocolate for breakfast). I hid the eggs around the house the night before and all the clues inside led her to her basket. She was really happy with what was in her basket but took most interest in the mini magnifying glass.

As an added bonus it was a really beautiful summer day here so we got to play outside too and she learnt how to pedal her bike (this is coming on another post so look out for that!).

Easy Easter Craft for Toddlers

Today we have been doing a bit of Easter inspired crafting. It's a really easy one but also a very messy one.
Toddler + Glitter + Glue = Huge Mess!

All I did for this was cut some Easter Egg shapes out of paper and gathered together a handful of things to decorate them with.
I used colourful bits of paper and shredded them and lots of glitter. Calleigh had a great time playing with the glue and she really enjoyed that I let her do it all herself (as much as I wanted to yank the glue from her hand).

Clean up wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but I do fear that we will be finding glitter everywhere for the next couple of weeks!

Calleigh's Easter Basket

This Easter instead of loads of chocolate eggs I have decided to put together a goodie basket for Calleigh. I have seen loads of basket ideas on the Internet and in the shops and couldn't wait to get started on my own.
After buying the basket each week I would pick up a few bits whilst shopping to put in her basket. I was finding loads of little toys and chocolates for under a dollar that I knew Calleigh would love and have put these inside the plastic eggs. I also got her an Easter Hello Kitty and a few books and activities to do on Easter Sunday.

I have also put together a little egg hunt for Easter morning. When Calleigh wakes up Daddy will hand her the first egg and she will follow the little clues I put inside to find her basket!

Wildwood Spring Egg Hunt

This weekend Wildwood hosted its annual Spring Egg Hunt.
It was our first time doing an egg hunt with Calleigh but she did really well and had so much fun trying to get all the eggs. I was worried she might be a little uneasy with a the people there but she didn't seem to mind at all.
Calleigh was on the under three's egg hunt, I like the way they separated the ages to make it more suitable for each child.

When we got home Calleigh opened up all of her eggs straight away (with a little help). Unfortunately they were filled with sweets that are not really suitable for Calleigh so she gave them to Daddy.
